Jakob Nielsen On Large Screens

Jakob Nielsen’s recent article on an Apple commissioned study which concluded productivity gains were 50-something percent pokes a good number of holes in the bucket. To be clear, he doesn’t refute productivity gains. Rather, he’s taking the methods and math used and shedding light on how the process was flawed out of the chute. Therefore the numbers really were meaningless from the get go.

He still says bigger monitors may be better though.

Duh, Jakob! Any time I can have all my Final Cut Studio Pro pallettes open on one screen and my video compositions open on another… It’s a great productivity gain!
