Dashcode’s Out

The easy to use, do it yourself Widget maker app known as Dashcode has officially been turned out to the wild by mothership Apple. I’ve had the oopsie version since May 24 and this official version is way more polished than the previous one.

Making a widget with this deal is wicked simple and it’s compatible with Tiger. Now, before you go getting all excited… this version of Dashcode has been specially tuned for Tiger. There are MANY things it can’t do that the XCode 3 version is purportedly able to do. Have not confirmed that myself.

Some widgets I’m enjoying most? iStat Pro, WeatherBug, Apple Remote Desktop, Akamai. It would take a LOT of doing to make one of those with Dashcode.

How about you? What Widgets are you enjoying most?
