Buy iPhone At Apple Store. Here’s Why…

The iPhone is considered a PDA by AT&T. Therefore there is no extended coverage available. Sure, you get your 1-year limited warranty. Good enough for you? Not me either.

However, Apple Stores WILL be selling Apple Care for your new iPhone. AT&T will NOT.

Could you not buy the Apple Care later on like the rest of Apple products? I have purchased Apple Care for laptops right when the 1 year limited was running out.

Must confess, I don’t know. I’ve only ever bought Apple Care at time of purchase. I suppose I could actually. Thanks for that tip. Now I don’t have to travel all over creation the 29th.

  3. Yeah, you should be able to buy AppleCare during the first year, and then just activate it. You can currently do that with all current Apple hardware.

  4. gwhiz Says:

That’s what I’ll be doing then. AT&T Store. Buy/activate. AppleCare after the fact. COOL!

    Hey Gerald…

I think the Tulsa store’s Grand opening will be in conjunction with the iPhone launch… Would be a great place to get one… Support the new store, and possibly win some cool free stuff!

Plus… there’s just nothing like a new store opening at Apple!

I don’t think it’s going to happen in time. Have you peeked through the door? They’re really going to have to hump it! Ahhhhh! The smell of sawdust, fresh paint plus that new iPhone smell.

  7. gwhiz Says:

Well, a little well-placed someone or other suspiciously named same as above tells me the Tulsa Apple Store is a “go” for the 29th.
