Tancredo. Gone Bonkers?

A hornet just stung me. So, I’m going to go hit it’s nest with a broomstick. Guess what that will get me… a gazillion freakin mad hornets that weren’t mad at me 30 seconds before.

I’ve been studying General David Petraeus’ Counterinsurgency Field Manual (FM 3-24)… OK, it’s what I do when I’m not banging out code, so sue me! This guy’s clearly got the chops to get things the hell straightened out in Iraq. He’s immensely respectful of the Iraqi’s and what they’ve endured and builds from there. Very impressive!

In contrast, the last thing he needs are politicians like Tancredo (another reason I’m disgusted with my GOP) spouting crap like retaliation against Mecca and Medina. Tancredo’s sentiment, while academically easy to follow, leads to an escalation beyond reckoning that simply cannot be tolerated. This is not a man I could support as a Presidential candidate. Simply. Could. Not. His views, while nicely transparent, are bizarre and I hope don’t resonate with anyone beyond his closest advisor.

Meanwhile, God speed to General Petraeus and the MNF-I.
