Unofficial. Leopard Oct 26 (CNN)

Leopard… come out come out wherever you are.Gene Munster seems to be saying (on the record) that Leopard’s coming out party is October 26th. I don’t put a lot of faith in his estimates of added revenues for Apple though. Seems too high with too little fan fare and banner waving from out of Cupertino.

Forgive me Gerald if this is a naive comment but I thought all Mac OS X launches these days were on Fridays at 6pm PST? If that’s true I’m not sure where there is any question as to the possible dates of launch (10/26 at 6pm PST).

Not naive at all! Apple’s thrown us devs a lot of curve balls this go around with Leopard. Conventional wisdom and experience were telling us for the longest time… Seeds = Tuesday nights. Well, that went out the window. Seeds have been sprouting willy nilly.

It’s really no surprise. The 26th makes a lot of sense. I hope Apple makes this official proclamation as late as they possibly can. It’s been awesome for traffic. 🙂
